Television actress known for her role as Alice Verdura on The CW's Hellcats, as well as for her role as Marcie on the Oprah Winfrey Network soap opera If Loving You Is Wrong.
In her late high school years, she trained at Boston's Walnut Hill School for the Arts.
Between 2006 and 2014, she appeared in episodes of CSI: Miami, The Vampire Diaries, Grey's Anatomy, and several other popular television series.
She and her three older siblings grew up in rural Waldo, Maine.
If Loving You Is Wrong, the soap opera for which Hemmens is known, was written and directed by Tyler Perry .
