Singer and stage actress who has contributed music to the soundtracks for family films like Flicka 2 and Moondance Alexander. She won MACY Awards for her performances in stage productions of Footloose and Little Women.
She began performing onstage at age ten. Some of her earliest roles included Marta in The Sound of Music and Nellie in Annie Get Your Gun.
She began writing for the Orange County Register's entertainment section in 2013.
She married musician Jon MacLennan.
She sang Carole King 's "Some Kind of Wonderful" on American Idol in 2012.
