Singer who performed with her sisters and mother in the country group The Carter Family.
She made her radio debut performing with her family in 1937 at age ten.
She had her most successful solo album with the album Sweet Talkin' Man.
She married Glenn Jones in 1950; the couple had four sons: Kenneth, Glenn, David, and Kevin.
She is the older sister of June Carter Cash .
