Indonesian playwright, poet and author who has written over 60 books. Her short story Jaring-jaring Merah was deemed one of the most important of the '90s by Horison magazine and she has been named on a list of the 500 Most Influential Muslims.
She earned a degree in Arabic literature from Universitas Indonesia.
She founded and became the first chairwoman of the Pen Circle Forum.
She married Widanardi Satryatomo in 1995. Her son Abdurahman was born that same year.
