ABOUT HOSANNA KABAKORO
Prestigious fashion journalist who rose to fame as an editor for Mai Life Style, the first South Pacific fashion and style magazine. She has also served on the Board of Vision Fiji and become a model and spokesperson for the Fiji Water Foundation.
One of her earliest jobs was as an intern for U.S. senator Larry Craig in 2008. She would later work as a radio correspondent for KLIX-FM Radio in Idaho.
During her teens, she was an active pageant contestant, first taking the title of Miss Idaho Teen USA in 2010. She went on to represent her state in the Miss Teen USA pageant, eventually winning the Miss Congeniality award.
She was born in Seoul, where her father was attending seminary, but spent her childhood in Fiji. She emigrated to the United States in 2000 after the Fijian coup d'état, eventually holding dual citizenship in Fiji and the United States.
Active in public service, in 2009, former first lady Laura Bush presented her with the Prudential Spirit of Community Award.
