ABOUT HOWARD MCNEAR
Character actor of stage, film, TV, and radio who starred as Floyd Lawson on the hit TV series, The Andy Griffith Show, and Anatomy of a Murder in 1959.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, after having begun a career in radio.
He played Doc Charles Adams in the popular CBS Radio show, Gunsmoke.
He had one child with his wife, Helen.
He appeared in a 1958 episode of Leave it to Beaver, starring Jerry Mathers .
