Hugh Robertson

ABOUT HUGH ROBERTSON

Active Chairman of the British Olympic Association that was first appointed in November 2016. He was formerly voted to represent the Faversham and Mid Kent districts as a member of the British Parliament and served as England's Minister for Sport and Civil Society from May 2010 to October 2013. He was given the position of Chair of England's Camelot Group, which is the company that is responsible for the UK National Lottery.

Before a career in politics he was a major in the British army. He served actively from 1982 until 1995.

Due to his honorable service, he has received a NATO Medal as well as multiple United Nations medals. He fought in the Gulf War between the United States and Iraq.

He is a native of Canterbury, England. He lives with his wife, Anna, and their son.

He selected Eve Muirhead to represent Britain at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Tokyo.
