ABOUT HUGO GONZALEZ

Professional small forward and wing that was originally signed by Real Madrid as a teenager back in 2022. During his three years with Real, he won two Liga ACB championships. He was later selected by the Boston Celtics with the 28th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

He initially began playing basketball at the young age of nine. A few years later, he was enrolled into the San Agustín del Guadalix Basketball Academy.

He made his official debut as a professional basketball player on October 2, 2022. In the process of doing so, he became the fourth youngest basketball player ever to play for Real Madrid.

He was first taught the game of basketball by his parents. Both of them were professional basketball players back in Spain.

He has played alongside Willy Hernangómez as a member of Team Spain during his professional basketball career.
