ABOUT HUNTER DAVIES
Journalist, novelist, and biographer best known for his 1978 authorized biography of The Beatles. He also wrote a popular Tottenham Hotspur Football Club expose entitled The Glory Game.
He studied history and education at University College, Durham.
His 1965 novel, Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush, was adapted into a film of the same name.
He married fellow fiction writer and biographer Margaret Forster . The couple's daughter, Caitlin, also became a writer.
He was the ghostwriter for an autobiography attributed to English footballer Wayne Rooney .
