Hwang Ui-jo
ABOUT HWANG UI-JO
Striker who has risen to fame for his international club career, including for Gamba Osaka of Japan's J1 League since 2017. He previously played for Seongnam FC of the K League 1 and 2, with whom he won the 2014 Korean FA Cup.
He played amateur soccer for Yonsei University between 2011-2012.
He led South Korea's U-23 squad to victory at the 2018 Asian Games, where he was also the top scorer. He earned his first cap as part of South Korea's senior team in 2015.
He was originally born and raised in Seongnam, South Korea.
He and Kim Seung-gyu have played as teammates for the South Korean national team.
