ABOUT HYEON-JONG YANG

Professional pitcher that was signed by the Texas Rangers in February 2021. Prior to pitching in the major league, he played for the Kia Tigers of the KBO League. While playing for the Tigers, he was a two-time Korean Series championship winner, a two-time Choi Dong-won Award winner as Korea's top pitcher, a KBO MVP and a Korean Series MVP in 2017.

He attended Dongsung High School in Gwangju, South Korea.

He made his major league debut on May 5, 2021.

He lives with his wife, Jung Rael, and their three children.

While playing for the Kia Tigers he was coached by former Major League baseball player Matt Williams .
