Right winger and forward who has gained fame for his time with the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs . He has also earned caps for the Russian senior national hockey team.

He began his hockey career with Omskie Yastreby in 2012. He made his pro debut with Yermak Angarsk in 2013.

An remark about how he loved soup after his Maple Leafs debut in 2019 earned him the nickname "Souperman" and a sponsorship with Campbell Soup Company. He helped lead Avangard Omsk to the Gagarin Cup finals in 2019.

He was born and raised in Omsk, Russia.
