ABOUT IRA NEWBORN
Motion picture composer responsible for writing the soundtracks for Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. He received an incredible amount of fame for his composition of the Naked Gun film series soundtracks in the early 1990s.
He attended New York University where he earned a music degree in 1972. He played a 1940s bandleader in "Xanadu," the infamous musical from 1980.
He became best known for composing the music to the "Naked Gun" series, which starred Leslie Nielsen .
His family was residing in New York City when he was born.
He collaborated with many household names, including Ray Charles , Diana Ross, Billy Joel, and The Pointer Sisters.
