Ish Kabibble
ABOUT ISH KABIBBLE
Born Merwyn Bogue and known by the stage name of Ish Kabibble, he is remembered as a comedian, singer, and cornet player. He became famous for his performances in such mid-twentieth-century films as You'll Find Out and That's Right You're Wrong.
After attending law school at West Virginia University, he began his career as a comedian.
After managing the Kay Kyser Orchestra for two decades, he gave up his entertainment career to pursue real estate opportunities.
He and his wife, Janet Meade, welcomed two daughters and one son between 1937 and 1941.
He collaborated with songwriter Kay Kyser on numerous projects, including the 1943 film Thousands Cheer and the late 1940s television game show Kay Kyser's Kollege of Musical Knowledge.
