ABOUT IZET SARAJLIC
One of the best-known, most translated poets of Bosnia and Herzegovina, he published over thirty books of poems. His other works include political essays, translations, and memoirs.
He started publishing poetry at the age of nineteen; his debut collection was titled In Meeting.
His work was translated into fifteen languages.
He was born in Doboj to a young mother and a railway worker father.
He and Agnieszka Osiecka are both important post-World War II poets.
