Professional pitcher that was drafted by the Boston Red Sox during the 13th round of the 2012 MLB Draft. He was acquired by the Arizona Diamondbacks via waivers in August 2021.

He began his professional career playing for the Red Sox' rookie affiliate team the GCL Red Sox.

He made his major league debut pitching on May 8, 2016 as a member of the Oakland Athletics .

He is a native of Savannah, Georgia. He married Hailee Wendelken in 2018. They have a daughter named Aspen together.

He was once packaged in a trade that included Brett Lawrie .
