ABOUT JACK ALLEN
Perhaps most well known for his portrayal of Major Howard in the television series Tell It to the Marines and for his roles in the films The Headless Ghost (1959) and Breaking the Sound Barrier (1952), he is also remembered for his recurring roles on Orlando, The Army Game, and Coronation Street.
Early in his career, he portrayed Lieutenant Willoughby in the 1939 feature film The Four Feathers.
In 1959, he appeared in a film based on the infamous murder spree of Jack the Ripper.
He spent his early days in Sandbach, Cheshire, England, and later relocated to London.
He appeared with Mick Jagger in the Tony Richardson -directed film Ned Kelly (1970).
