ABOUT JACK O'CONNOR
Author and long-time editor for the Outdoor Life magazine. He was known for his extensive knowledge of hunting and shooting during his 31-year career as an editor.
As child, he was taught how to hunt by his grandfather and his uncle.
Before his writing career took off, he worked as a college professor of English at the University of Arizona . Later on, he would eventually become the school's first Journalism professor.
He was born January 22, 1902, in Nogales, Arizona. His parents divorced when he was five years old, which forced his mother to move him and his sister Helen closer to family in Tempe, Arizona.
He was a famous novelist, just like Stephen King .
