ABOUT JACKIE BURNS

Actress who is perhaps most famous for playing Elphaba in the hit Broadway musical Wicked . She also starred in the Broadway production of Hairspray the Musical as well as off-Broadway productions of plays like Rock of Ages.

She was raised in the Connecticut towns of Middletown and Ivoryton. She graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2002.

She received an Irene Award nomination for her performance as Elphaba.

She married dancer John Selya.

She was the standby for Idina Menzel in the musical If/Then.
