Irish popular singer who performed with the group The Raindrops from 1959 to 1964 and later became a solo artist. Her song White Horses cracked the top ten on the UK charts in 1968.
She was a musical prodigy who was awarded a scholarship to school and trained as a soprano before beginning her professional career.
Her song "White Horses" was voted best TV theme song of all time by The Penguin Television Companion.
She was born Jacqueline Norah Flood in Dublin, Ireland.
She provided backup vocals for "Green Green Grass of Home" by popular artist Tom Jones .
