ABOUT JACKSON MERRILL

Major league outfielder and athlete that was originally taken by the San Diego Padres as a first round pick in the 2021 MLB draft. During his time in the Padres' farm system, he was twice named an organizational All-Star. In the year 2024, he was promoted to the Padres' major league squad.

He first began his professional baseball career with the AZL Padres. After 31 games, he was then promoted to the Lake Elsinore Storm.

He made his official major league debut while playing against the Los Angeles Dodgers on March 20, 2024. Unfortunately, he finished his MLB debut with zero hits in three at-bats. He stands 6'3" tall and weighs just under 200 pounds.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Severna Park, Maryland. He was born to Josh and Jennie Merrill.

He played alongside Manny Machado and Fernando Tatís Jr. as a member of the Padres during the 2024 MLB regular season.
