He graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2015 with his bachelor's degree in sports management.

He founded his Jacob Fischer LLC photography business while a junior in college in 2014.

He was originally born and raised in Tempe, Arizona. He later moved to Los Angeles, California and Austin, Texas.

He and Ryan Millier are both photographers famous for their urban landscape photography.
