ABOUT JACOB LOPEZ

MLB southpaw that was taken as a 26th rounder in the 2018 Draft by the San Francisco Giants . Just one year later, he was sent to the Tampa Bay Rays . In December 2024, he was then acquired by the Oakland Athletics via trade.

He is a graduate of Saugus High School. Shortly after graduating, he then began playing college baseball at the College of the Canyons.

Prior to being drafted in 2018, he originally had plans of playing college baseball at Texas Tech University . Former MLB pitcher Dallas Braden also committed to Texas Tech as well.

He is a native of Granada Hills, California.

He was once packaged in a trade that also included Jeffrey Springs .
