He has a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Brigham Young University . He has worked as a product designer for over 20 years. He started his own company in 2018.

He is married to Cassanda Morrise , and they have ten kids: Steven, Christopher, identical twins William and Ryan, non-identical twins Spencer and Max, Thomas, Henry, Lily, and Peter.
