ABOUT JAKE MCCARTHY

Professional outfielder that was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks during the first round of the 2018 MLB Draft. He began his professional career playing for the Diamondbacks' rookie affiliate team the AZL Diamondbacks.

Prior to being drafted, he attended the University of Virginia where he played collegiate baseball.

He made his major league debut playing against the Philadelphia Phillies on August 27, 2021.

His brother Joe was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays during the 2015 MLB Draft.

He played alongside Ketel Marte as a member of the Diamondbacks during the 2021 MLB season.
