ABOUT JAKE SMITH
Singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his Christian themed-songs, as heard on 2007's Real, 2009's Summertime Pneumonia and 2010's Everyone Comes from Somewhere. He has played sold-out shows at venues like the House of Blues and performed on the main stage of JazzFest.
He grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and attended Louisiana State University before dropping out to pursue a career in music. He landed his first record deal in 2007.
He built his audience as a touring opener for the band Better Than Ezra. His album Everyone Comes from Somewhere was recorded at the studio co-owned by the band's bassist, Tom Drummond.
He married Allie Smith, with whom he has children.
He has played shows with singer Shawn McDonald .
