ABOUT JAKE WALSH
Professional relief pitcher that was originally drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals during the 16th round of the 2017 Major League Draft. Prior to being drafted, he attended Florida Southern University. While there, he was named his team's co-MVP and a finalist for the Division II Pitcher of the Year in 2017.
He initially began his college career playing baseball at Jacksonville State University. He later transferred to Eastern Florida State College before enrolling at Florida Southern University.
He made his official major league debut pitching against the Baltimore Orioles on May 11, 2022. He pitched just two innings and recorded four strikeouts.
Growing up, he lived with his family in Indialantic, Florida and later moved to Melbourne, Florida. He has a brother named Devon.
He once played college baseball at Florida Southern University just like Matt Joyce .
