ABOUT JAMES ENSOR
Expressionist painter who influenced Paul Klee , Emil Nolde , and other artists. He was strongly affiliated with artistic group Les XX.
He began his artistic training at age fifteen and enrolled at Brussels' Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in 1877.
His painting, "Les Aureoles du Christ," was put on display at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles.
His father, James Frederic Ensor, was a civil engineer.
One of his paintings appeared in the film "Halloween," which starred Jamie Lee Curtis .
