Former President of Seychelles who served for 12 years. He also served as the country's Vice President from 1996 to 2004.
He began his career in politics during the 1970s.
Since gaining its independence 1976, he was given the honor of being the third President of Seychelles to ever be selected.
He is a native of Mahé, Seychelles.
