ABOUT JASON THOMPSON
Three-time MLB All-Star first baseman who hit 208 home runs during his 11-year career which spanned from 1976 to 1986; played for the Detroit Tigers, California Angels, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Montreal Expos.
He opted to attend Cal State Northridge when he was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
On June 26, 1984, he hit four home runs in a doubleheader at Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs.
His son, Matt, became a Little League coach in Saudi Arabia.
He was given the nickname Rooftop by former teammate Rusty Staub .
