Known for his public speaking engagements and for such business self-help titles as Getting Everything You Can Out of All You've Got: 21 Ways You Can Out-Think, Out-Perform, and Out-Earn the Competition, he also founded a successful marketing firm called the Abraham Group.

During the 1970s, he made a name for himself in the field of direct-response marketing.

A speaker at conferences in Australia, China, Mexico, the United States, and Russia, he was named by Forbes Magazine as one of the top business coaches in America.

A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, he later settled in Los Angeles, California, with his family.

He and Australian-born author Matthew Kelly both had careers as business-themed motivational speakers.
