Jay Greenberg
ABOUT JAY GREENBERG
Known for orchestral and chamber works such as, respectively, Intelligent Life (2006) and Hexalogue (2005, for piano and wind quintet), Greenberg also composed a ballet titled Neon Refracted (2009).
A musical prodigy, he began training at the Juilliard School when he was only ten years old.
Grammy-winning violinist Joshua Bell premiered Greenberg's Violin Concerto (2007) at Carnegie Hall.
Nicknamed "Bluejay," Greenberg spent his childhood years in New Haven, Connecticut and New York, New York.
He studied with German-born classical composer Samuel Adler .
