ABOUT JAY RAYNER
A journalist, author, and food critic who is known for reality television roles on MasterChef and Top Chef Masters.
He worked as an editor for The Observer newspaper after graduating form Leeds University in 1988.
He was named Critic of the Year by the British Press Awards in 2006.
He has two sons with his wife Pat Rayner.
He was a judge on Top Chef Masters, which was later hosted by Curtis Stone .
