Longtime Bollywood star who won a Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003 and a Screen Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. In 2012, he received the Zee Cine Award for Lifetime Achievement.
He had his first uncredited role in the 1959 film, Navrang, when he was 17.
He has starred in over 200 films throughout his career.
He had two children, Ekta and Tusshar, with his wife and longtime lover Shobha Kapoor.
He and Rajesh Khanna both became recipients of the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award.
