Jeff Ballard
ABOUT JEFF BALLARD
California-born drummer who formed The Jeff Ballard Trio with Miguel Zenon and Lionel Loueke. He also played with a jazz trio called Fly.
Early in his career, he played with jazz keyboardist Chick Corea on a 1998 album called Change and on a 2000 album entitled Concerto.
He and jazz pianist Brad Mehldau performed together on seven albums between 2005 and 2012.
He was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California. His career as a jazz musician later took him to New York City.
He collaborated with jazz guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel on several albums.
