ABOUT JEFF CARSON

Known for such Billboard Country Music Chart hits as "The Car," "Real Life (I Never Was the Same Again)", and "Not on Your Love," this country singer released three albums -- Jeff Carson, Butterfly Kisses, and Real Life -- before ending his performing career in 2009. At the age of 58, he suffered a fatal heart attack.

After participating in several talent competitions during his high school years in Gravette, Arkansas, he rose to fame in the mid-1990s following the release of a #69 single, "Yeah Buddy," followed by a #1 chart-topping hit, "Not on Your Love."

After releasing a series of commercially unsuccessful songs, he retired from the music business and pursued a second career as a Franklin, Tennessee police officer. However, in 2020, he released a new single titled "God Save The World."

Though born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he grew up in Arkansas. Later, while living in Branson, Missouri, he married Kim Cooper; the couple subsequently relocated to Nashville, Tennessee.

A songwriter as well as a singer, he helped compose country musician Craig Morgan 's 2003 song "Where Has My Hometown Gone."
