Television actor known best for his leading role on the cable television series Burn Notice. He has also had recurring roles on Crossing Jordan and Touching Evil. In 2018, he starred in Sicario: Day of the Soldado .
He earned his black belt in karate during college and has over twenty years of martial arts training.
He starred in the biopic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile as John O'Connell. He voiced the character Machine Head in the popular animated TV series Invincible .
He married Michelle Woods in August of 2012. They welcomed a daughter in December of that year. In 2014, they had a son named Lucas, and they welcomed another daughter in 2017.
He portrayed the role of Robert F. Kennedy in the 2011 film J. Edgar.
