ABOUT JENNIFER HYMAN

American entrepreneur famous for being the co-founder of Rent the Runway, a fashion subscription service. She is the 30th woman in history to take her own company public, in addition to making history as the first company to go public with a female founder, CEO, COO, and CFO.

She grew up in New York, and graduated from New Rochelle High School. She attended Harvard University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She met her co-founder, Jennifer Fleiss, while earning her MBA at Harvard's business school.

In 2012, she was listed in the 40 under 40 by Fortune Magazine. In 2019, Time Magazine included her among their 100 Most Influential People. The inspiration behind her company came from watching her sister stress over the process of purchasing an expensive wedding dress, just to wear it once.

She married Benjamin Stauffer in 2018, and they have two daughters named Aurora and Selene.

Diane von Furstenberg was one of the first designers to get behind the business idea of Rent the Runway.
