ABOUT JEROLIM MISE
Croatian modernist painter whose best-known works included portraits, still-lifes, and landscapes, mostly of his native Dalmatia. He belonged to the Group of Three, Group of Four, and the Independent Group of Artists.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Zagreb, and at the Accademia Internazionale in Florence.
He taught art for over sixty years and also worked as an art critic.
He was born in the region of Austria-Hungary that is present-day Croatia.
He was inspired by Pierre Auguste Renoir .
