She dated her Gossip Girl co-star Ed Westwick from 2008 to 2010. She and NHL hockey player Brad Richardson welcomed their first child, a daughter, together in February 2021. The couple announced their engagement in May 2022 and tied the knot in August 2024.

She worked with fellow actress Blake Lively on CW's American teen drama television series Gossip Girl.
