Influential wrestler better known as 'Oro,' who died in 1993 from a stunt gone wrong inside the ring.

His father, Esteban Hernandez, wrestled as Calavera II; he had to beg him to teach him wrestling moves.

He became known for his trademark wrestling mask.

He came from a family of wrestlers. His younger brother, Jesus Javier took on the name Oro II in his honor, while his other brother used the name Plata.

He was called the "Mexican Hulk Hogan ."
