Relief pitcher capable of inducing loads of groundballs with his running fastball; he led the American League in saves in 2012 and 2013 with the Baltimore Orioles.

He attended Union Endicott High School in New York.

He was selected to his first All-Star team in 2012.

He was born in Johnson City, New York.

First baseman Kevin Millar was his teammate on the Orioles.
