Relief pitcher who played for the Minnesota Twins, Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees, and Texas Rangers from 1962 to 1972.
He debuted on September 20, 1962 for the Twins, and was a starter, but he didn't have much success so they turned him into a reliever.
On May 19, 1964, he pitched an entire 12-inning game, facing a total of 50 batters.
He was married to Vicki Roland until his death; they had a son and three daughters together.
As a member of the 1972 Yankees, he was teammates with Bobby Murcer .
