ABOUT JIM TRELIVING

Canadian businessman who became known to television audiences as one of the "dragons" on the reality series Dragons' Den. He built his personal fortune through his partnership with George Melville, with whom he co-owns several businesses, including Boston Pizza, Mr. Lube and White Rock Commercial.

He was a constable in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in the 1960's. He broke into the world of entrepreneurship by purchasing the rights to open a Boston Pizza restaurant in Penticton, British Columbia.

He once received the British Columbia American Marketing Association's Marketer of the Year award.

He married a woman named Sandi. He has a daughter named Cheryl. His son, Brad Treliving, has served as the general manager of the NHL's Calgary Flames.

He and Manjit Minhas , co-founder of Minhas Breweries & Distillery, have both been "dragons" on Dragons' Den.
