She attended University of California, Irvine before landing her first job in the mortgage industry, learning the ins and outs of home lending and finance.

She elected to not participate in the 3rd season of Real Housewives after scoring a recording contract with Immergent Records and a spin-off Bravo show, Date My Ex: Jo and Slade.

She was once engaged to Slade Smiley , TV personality known for his role on The Real Housewives of Orange County. She is now happily married to Taran Gray, a successful music composer and producer.

She appeared on the first and second seasons of Real Housewives of Orange County with veteran housewives Vicki Gunvalson , Jeana Keough , Lauri Peterson , and Kimberly Bryant .
