ABOUT JOANA AVILLEZ

Illustrator whose Shel Silverstein -like work has been featured in publications like The New York Times, Vogue, Refinery29, and countless other magazines and newspapers.

After studying at the Rhode Island School of Design, she go on to attend NYU's School of Visual Arts to earn a degree in illustration.

She worked with writer Molly Young on their Penguin Press published book D C-T!

Her parents are Gwendolyn and Jose Martim.

Both she and Sandra Boynton gained fame as illustrators and cartoonists.
