ABOUT JOANNE GAIRY
One of Canada's best known female radio personalities who became host of G98.7 FM. She previously worked at FLOW 93.5. She starred in her own docu-series called Jemeni in the City. She created the female-inspired hip hop show, Droppin Dimez with DJ Stach.
She became a member of the hip-hop show, The Powermove on CKLN and later became the Music Director at 19.
She won a Caribbean of Excellence award, the Warning award, and the Tara award.
Her real name is Joanne Gairy, but is better known as Jemeni. She was born in Grenada, and grew up in Ontario, Canada.
She's an award-winning writer and poet who has shared the stage with the likes of Jill Scott and Angie Stone .
