ABOUT JOANNE KYGER
American poet associated with the Beats and the Black Mountain Poets. Her poetry collections include About Now: Collected Poems and Just Space: Poems 1979-1989.
She studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Her later poetry collections include The Distressed Look and God Never Dies.
She married Gary Snyder in February of 1958.
She and her husband traveled to India with renowned Beat poet Allen Ginsberg .
