Mexican defender who broke into the MLS with Chivas USA in 2013 after spending three years with Veracruz.
He began his professional career with the Mexican team Puebla F.C. in 1995.
He signed with Chivas USA on February 26th, 2013, his first contract outside of Mexico.
His father, also named Joaquin Velazquez, was a massage therapist.
He joined Carlos Bocanegra on Chivas USA in 2013.
