ABOUT JOE LABARBERA

Jazz drummer who was best known for his work with Bill Evans and Chuck Mangione .

He studied Composition and Jazz at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He also played in the US Army's band.

He taught Jazz at the California Institute of the Arts in 1993.

His brothers John and Pat were also professional musicians.

He performed in a quartet with saxophonist Joe Farrell .
